My daughter who is studying in Switzerland is having trouble with her mobile phone... and except for Skype, that's our LIFELINE! So I went to the post office this morning to mail her an old one of mine... not wanting to send a brand new one , because of the risks to mail an item like that!
The guy behind the counter has such a kind heart, and he helped me in such a great way, he really made my day. Not only is my daughter's phone not working, she's really ill, with a respiratory tract infection, and can only see a doctor tomorrow! So this mother's heart is feeling very BLUE! 6000 kilometres is very far when your child is ill... and she's only 19!
Then I went to collect the mail from the mail box... to find a bag of goodies I won from Flonzcraft!
And guess what... because I was their first customer from the UAE, they included not one... but two free gifts!
I can really recommend you visiting their site... great stamps, affordable prize and great service!
Two small acts of kindness that meant so much to me !!
That was a lot of talking from me... but this is what I am trying to say...
Thanks for reading... and as Ellen says... be kind to each other!

ReplyDeleteHannelie, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter not being well. Hope she gets better after seeing a doctor. You are so right, that we often forget that the tiniest kind gesture could really make a huge difference in someone's life. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

Hope your daughter is feeling a little better Hannelie:).. It's hard when your children are so far away, I have experienced the same feelings, and know just how you feel..
ReplyDeleteA little kindness and thoughtfulness goes a long away:)

I'm so grateful kindness crossed your path TWICE in one day. These are true blessings. Actually, three...you recognizing it is another! ;) Praying your daughter is better soon....
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that during a day of 'bad' you also received some 'good'. I'll keep you both in my thoughts and prayers for your daughter's quick recovery.
