A feathered friend

Hi there!

The challenge this week at cas-ualfridays is to create a card featuring a bird/birds.

I tried a couple of things, nothing worked... untill I got up this morning and got the inspiration right on my desktop!
It's a picture from a popular Afrikaans woman's magazine with a quote from Henry van Dyke :


I find it helps if you have a sentiment to build your idea on.

This is what I came up with :

The birdie is a sticker I bought some time ago. I simply combined it with 2 pearls and a branch with leaves.

    Your card is beautiful Hannelie. I adore the quote...never heard it before but it's just perfect for our challenge and this would be a great entry for Gallery Idol 2012 too :0)
