Color Hues #17 - Red & Orange

Hi there!

Time for some red hot colors in Color Hues Challenge #17

When I struggle with colors, I always fall back on a tried and trusted recipe for color challenges : Stripes... made form scraps of card stock, and of course, my Silhouette cameo !

I used this fortnights colors to make a birthday card for our youngest daughter who turned 25 this week on the 26th of April ! Happy Birthday Daniélle !

I used :

  • Scraps of card stock in red, white and 2 different shades of orange
  • Center panel designed in the Silhouette studio using the font named Bodoni FLF
  • Banner cutting file from Miss Kate Cuttables
  • Enamel dots
  • Birthday sentiment also in the same font as the number 25
  • Foam squares for dimension

I hope to see you in the gallery!

Thanks for visiting me today!

  1. I found this combination a bit challenging as well! I'll remember the answer to that kind of challenge--stripes! The die-cut and sentiment on top make it another of your great designs!

  3. The stripes are a great idea. I especially like the addition of white stripes. I have so much scrap cardstock that I need to make striped backgrounds more often. Thank you for the inspiration and for this design idea for a great card!
