Poppy birthday wishes

 Hi there!

It's been a while since I joined the fun at Fusion Card challenge, but I couldn't resist this fortnight's inspiration picture. The sketch worked for me, so I decided to combine the two!

 I used :

  • Perfect poppies digital stamp from Power Poppy
  • Trellis designed in the Silhouette studio
  • Silhouette cameo
  • Snow Background stamp from Altenew
  • Altenew ink
  • Zig markers
  • Sentiment from Simon Says stamp beautiful Flowers set
  • Foam squares

I used the poppies (poppy) as focal point, just like the inspiration picture. I decided on the orange as main color and incorporated the rest of the bouquet colors in the background. I added score lines to the background to mimic those in the photo and combined elements from the grey water can and the vertical strip in the sketch.

Challenges :

  1. Your poppy is so beautiful. Somehow you've managed to make your poppy look as lovely and fragile as a real one.

  3. Oh Hannelie, another gorgeous floral card. I love the way you divided the white panel and have color beneath your trellis. This card is serious eye candy! Thrilled to see it in our gallery at Seize the Birthday!
