Yay! Its your birthday!

Hi there!

Time for a masculine card  !

I still had the left over speech bubble from this card on my desk, when my eye caught some challenges with the perfect fit .

It made today's card came together in just a few minutes! Love it when that happens 😁








I used :


  • Simon says stamp ~ Abstract triangle background stamp
  • Simon says stamp ~ Big Birthday Wishes

  • Speech bubble cutting file from the Silhouette store #1804589
  • Versafine black ink
  • Promarkers
  • Misti



I was a bit stuck with the color palette for the card. Design-seeds to the rescue .... using color inspiration  from THIS PIN.

    It worked so well to color in only some of the triangles. You've got me thinking about my own background stamps and how I might use your technique with them. I think this idea works especially well for masculine cards. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

    What a fabulous design, Hannelie! I thought at first that your background was patterned paper, then I realized it was a stamp colored in. I love your minimal coloring; it is spot on! Love the Milton quote, too, btw! Thanks for playing along at Freshly Made Sketches!
