Family : Miss You card

Hi there!

Living far away from family means I need lots of 'miss you' cards ! I used inspiration from the Fusion family challenge to add this card to my stash.

Family means love... and I think this precious picture captures it so beautifully! I was inspired by the black and white photo and the three sets of hands (translated to hearts) for my card.

I love this card! Sometimes you don't need lots of color and elements to convey the message! Taking a good picture was another thing, The black diecut sentiment just didn't show off good enough to my liking. I fixed it by carefully removing it and added a backing layer (offset) of vellum. A small change with a big effect !

I used :

  • Heart cutfile from my Silhouette library cut in 3 different sizes from dark gray, light gray and white card stock.
  • "You" cutfile from the Silhouette store : #193384
  • Printed 'miss' sentiment : Font Archer Pro
  • Dainty-swiss-dots-stamp-set : Altenew
  • Versafine black ink
  • Foam tape for dimension
  • Vellum

  3. The vellum backing for your sentiment was a brilliant idea. It really sets it off nicely. Your card is very striking and quite elegant with its black/white/gray palette.
