Another birthday in blog land! Today is Sarah's turn to celebrate!
You are in for a treat if you visit Sarah... she makes beautiful CAS cards and always inspire and encourage me with her thoughtful comments.
Sarah this one is for you... hope you are enjoying a wonderful birthday and that you will be blessed with health and happiness all year round!
My card was inspired by 3 challenges:
Less is more ~ Berry colors
The paper players ~ Create a square card
Addicted to cas ~ Banners
My card features banners in 3 berry colors and a sentiment created and cut with my Silhouette.
The font is Century gothic. I just removed the centre of the a and the 2 p's , and replaced it with a little flower, to use the negative space included in the letters in a more interesting way. I added 3 small pearls to embellish it. The birthday part was cut using the same font, just upper case letters.

ReplyDeleteGreat idea to replace the letter cutouts with flower cutouts. Love the look of this and may have to try it sometime with my Cricut. Your bright colors make this a very festive card, too. It's fabulous!

Hannelie you are making me all teary-eyed reading this post and sorry I didn't get to you yesterday - my dad was celebrating his 70th yesterday too although his birthday was the day before so busy day! I spotted a comment from Darnell this morning saying she'd seen your post so had to jump right across! I'm stunned - what a brilliant birthday treat card!
