Watercolor hello !

Hi there!

I have another watercolor card to share... this one is especially for you Marika !

Marika is a very talented blogfriend whose talent I really admire. She encouraged me not to pack away my watercolor paint, and go on experimenting!

I am playing in the colors of The paper players : Calypso Coral, Red and Black, and the sketch at Freshly made sketches ( a bit of a liberal take on the sketch ;)

To make the watercolor panel, I masked the area with a piece of card stock, cut with my craft knife.

Just make sure you don't add too much water, so that the color stay inside the lines.

The butterfly was cut with my Silhouette.

The sentiment is digital, and was added after the paint was completely dry.

Font used ~  Channel .

Nothing much to it, but here it is if you don't have the font on you computer !

Thanks so much for visiting me today !

  18. You can make the simplest design so memorable, Hannelie. The swoosh of color makes me think of the movement of the butterfly wings. The intense colors of your butterfly draw the eye and make such an amazing contrast with the white cardstock. This is beautiful!

  24. Hannelie, thank you for your kind words! They warmed my heart on this cold, wintery day here in Finland. This card is so striking! I always love to see, when you make cards with just a few elements on them and you always still get the "wow" factor on them!! You're so so talented as well, my friend!

Jou kaartjie is pragtig, vrou!! Baie mooi gedoen, vrou!!!
    Groete
