After 2 entries in the felt and sequin challenge at Cas-ual fridays, I still had some ideas pondering my mind , using those 2 elements, so I'm getting it out of my system now with this card which also uses inspiration from 2 other challenges:
Virginia's view challenge : Clean slate ~ (about white space)
&
Color throwdown : Red, white & black
So, looking at the red felt on my desk, I was thinking red carpet... And then the rest just fell in place !
I adhered a piece of double sided tape to one side of the felt, and cut a very thin strip of it. I then removed the backing paper of the tape, and rolled up the felt for it to look like a red carpet being unrolled in front of the model :)
The silhouette, was well... cut with my Silhouette cameo from a digital image I found at shery k designs. The image is available in full size, but I cropped it in order to work for my design.
I added a poloroid frame, sequins, and sentiment ( Janda Stylish script ) also cut with my Silhouette.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely love, love, love this card. I think it's one of the most original, clever cards I have ever seen. It truly makes me want to go out and buy a Silhouette just to be able to have this design. I SO wish this was a die! (Hint, hint). I would buy it in a New York minute. Maybe you should team up with the makers of this cut file and start your own die line. You would make a fortune!
