Guest designer at CAS Mix Up Challenge

 Hi there !

I am so happy to join the talented team over at CAS mix up Challenge this month as guest designer!

We challenge you to : use alcohol inks on vellum .

I had so much fun dusting off the alcohol inks for this challenge. I have never used them on vellum before and to be honest, I think I was more successful with the vellum as my previous attempts on yupo paper.
I ended up with quite a few backgrounds which you will see sometime soon on upcoming projects .

Here's my card for your inspiration :

For the CAS Mix up challenge you need to use the required technique or media , stamping and at least one more element from the side bar ; I picked die cutting .

I used :

  • Free butterfly cutting file from Paper issues
  • Zig Zag cutting file from my Silhouette library
  • Silhouette cameo
  • Alcohol inks : Sunshine yellow ; Valencia ; Poppy Field
  • Gold paint marker
  • Sentiment from Uniko
  • Altenew Ruby Red ink
  • Gold rhinestones

I hope you take on the challenge and join us this month. Plenty of time to experiment and play along !

Thanks for visiting me today!

Hannelie

Hannelie, your butterfly is exquisite! You have time to come color ours! They are cocooned, and will 'bloom' in a week or so!

So happy you're our Guest Designer at CAS Mix Up just because this card is a knock out. You alcohol inking makes this butterfly look ethereal, vibrant and just plain spectacular. The gold paint is the perfect enhancement for the colors you chose to use. Spectacular work, as always.

Wow! Your card is so beautiful! I love the look of the alcohol inks on vellum. I need to give that a try. I have only a couple bottles of those inks, but maybe I'll get more if I'm as successful as you.
