She believed

Hi there!

I just love it when a plan comes together. Or in cardmaking terms, when a design works !

I also love giving new life to old stamps by mixing the old and the new and trying to think outside the box 😊

she believed that she could so she did

she believed that she could so she did

she believed that she could so she did

I used :

  • Feather stamp set - Hero Arts (retired)
  • Sentiment - Hero Arts/Studio Calico borders set (retired)
  • Altenew inks
  • Versafine black ink
  • Altenew Dainty Swiss Dots background stamp
  • Misti
  • Craft foam for dimension

I included a few shots of the process to get the sentiment curved and following the line of the feather.

  1. In the first photo I closed the lid of the misti, and used washi tape to mark the line on the outside where I wanted to place the sentiment.
  2. I then opened the lid and curved and placed the sentiment according to the marked line.
  3. Finally inked and stamped it .

Just make sure the dye ink is completely dry before you stamp the black ink over it. I was so exited to see the end result , I had to throw the first attempt away because the black ink bled into the pink 😆

I just had to stop by to see your cards up close and read about them... so glad I did! Genius method for perfect placement of the sentiment! I haven't talked myself into getting a MISTI yet. I know, I'm the world's last hold out. I love the pretty design of your CAS card!

Very nice card. It is great when everything works out the way we envisioned.

Perfect. The feather seems to say: take it easyer, as you feel. A well-defined card to time out.
