Triangle framed butterfly

Hi there!

Triangles aren't the first shape I think of when I start to plan a card . The inspiration picture at Fusion card challenge this week provides the perfect opportunity to break away form circles and squares !

I also remembered this layout from a while ago and added a butterfly instead of the flower :

I used :

  • Abstract triangles  background stamp from Simon says stamp
  • Sentiment from Altenew : Magnolias-for-her stamp set
  • Versafine black ink
  • Copper colored mirror cardstock
  • Copper embossing powder and Versamark ink
  • Distress inks for watercolor smooshing
  • Butterfly cut file from the Silhouette store
  • Triangles cut with my Silhouette cameo
  • Rhinestones

Challenge :

Fusion card challenge -  Only playing with the photo challenge this time

Thanks for visiting me today!

Fun card, and your triangle element brings quite the perfect focal for the card!

I really like the contrast of the soft, fluttering butterfly against the more rigid structure of the triangle.

I love the layered butterflies with the geometric print. It coordinates perfectly with the triangle background! Very modern and beautiful!
