Gold ... Glitter... Gifts!

Hi there!

Popping in to share two cards showcasing the way I LOVE to create.

Yes, I love to combine cuts from my Silhouette cameo with my stamps, inks and coloring media. No coloring for today however, because the white , black and gold stole my heart!

And another one:

I used:

  • BEAUTIFUL-FLOWERS ~ Simon Says Stamps To create the 'patterned paper' look on the gifts as well as the background of the first card
  • Gifts cutting file from the Silhouette store (doesn't seem to be available anymore)
  • Gold glitter paper
  • Gold paint pen from Roco to color the bow on the center gift (card 2)
  • Silhouette cameo
  • Misti stamping tool
  • Gold rhinestones

I couldn't decide which one to enter... so I asked my daughter, and she picked the first one!

Beautiful cards, Hannelie! If I only knew how to make so well balanced black 'n' white and gold cards... - Sweet Kobylkin

Hello. I have been following your blog for a very long time. I love your cards. I noticed that you always use your Silhouette cutter to cut out your stamped images. I have a Silhouette Cameo with designer edition software. I was wondering if you cut the images & then stamp them, or do you Stamp & then cut using the scan feature or the pix scan mat. I have been wanting to do this with my stamps so I can save money by not having to buy the matching Dies. I was wondering which is the best way to do that. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cards with us.

Oooh, pretty two ways! It's one of my favorite color combos for Christmas cards, and now for birthdays, as well! Love the look of those presents with the stamped pattern. Beautiful way to stretch the use of your stamps!

I think the first one is my favorite, too. It's just so striking. I love that color combo, and glitteryness (yes, I know...not a word) captures my heart every time. It's a wonder I'm not one of those "mature" ladies going on vacation in her sparkly clothes, hats and shoes!! I promise, I really do wear much more subtle attire.

Black, white, and gold color palette is gorgeous. The faux wrapping people was such a creative idea.
