Choose hope!

Hi there!

Popping in with a card I made using one of my favorite and go-to recipes .

I love creating interesting backgrounds by combining stamps and masking them to create different shapes. Circle and hearts are top of the list of shapes. They work so well with most stamps like florals and geometrics !

A die cut or silhouette cut sentiment is all you need to add to make a QACAS card!

I used:

  • Beautiful flowers stamp set  ~ Simon Says Stamps
  • Distress inks for watercolor smooshing on the sentiment
  • Sequins
  • Silhouette cut sentiment (font used: Simple game - it was a freebie some time ago at The Hungry JPEG)
  • Heart shape mask cut with my Silhouette ( You can use any die to create a mask😊 )
  • Misti
  • Versafine Black ink

I LOVE the look of this flowers in black and white!

Sharing my card at :

AAA cards ~ Inspired by a TV show ( The Big C - one of my most favorite TV shows ever. Hope is something you need to cling on irrespective of the type of cancer involved! )

Thanks for taking the time to visit!

I just saw this blog post and when I read that The Big C was your favourite show of all time, I had to let you know that its mine too!! I have all the series on dvd and have watched them numerous times. It took me a week to finally watch the final episode (I had recorded it) because I wasn't ready for her to die yet and when I finally watched it I balled my eyes out (and still do when I watch it again). An amazing programme and characters (as well as the actors). And I gotta say your card is absolutely gorgeous, love black/white with pink and its so perfect for our challenge at TIME OUT!xxxxx

Beautiful, Hannelie! There's a lovely softness in the floral heart and delicious pink ... and a strength in the black outline around the sentiment ... a brilliant combination for our theme! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita :)
