Altenew January inspiration challenge

Hi there!

Things are slowly getting back to normal again after the festive season.

We dropped our youngest daughter at the airport early this morning. She is on her way back to the Netherlands to continue her studies. The house is all quiet and the best way to cope is to get creative!

I made a card using the picture provided by Yoonsun for the Altenew January inspiration challenge.

I love the rich warm tones and small white flowers ! Here's my take on the challenge:

up close:

I used the sentiment from the Halftone Happy set, and flowers and leaves from the Doodle Bloom set.

Stamped with Color box inks in shades of brown, and colored with my Promarkers in different shades of yellow.

I added a couple of enamel dots and rhinestones to finish off the design.

Also adding my link to the anything goes Birthday challenge at Seize the birthday.

Thanks for visiting me today!

Hugs
Hannelie

  1. Very pretty, Hannelie! At first the colors on the inspiration photo didn't trip my trigger, but after seeing how you've used them, well, they're beautiful. As is your card. That 'happy' is incredible, and will go on my wish list. Beautifully CAS, too!! Love this!! Bev

  2. I hear you loud and clear on the 'quiet house' thing! Sure does pull at the old heart strings when the kidlets have to leave back to their far away places! That's when pets come into the picture and get so much 'love' from their owners, they likely want to run and hide from us!!!

I love these warm, sunshine colors! Your card definitely will make someone's b-day happy and warm! Nice touch extending the leaves beyond the card base :)
