Aloha!

Hi there!

I've been waiting for an opportunity to share a couple of our holiday photos. Sorry Facebook friends, you already saw this!

We returned a week ago after 4 days of total bliss on Paradise island resort Maldives. If you ever have the opportunity to go on an island vacation, I will recommend the Maldives, with no hesitation!

But before we get to the photos, I have a card to share, inspired by the beautiful island experience, and 2 blogland challenges! When I saw the inspiration photo provided by The Challenge, it took me right back to Paradise island!

Jenni at Muse card club also provided a beautiful flower card as inspiration.

I used the following elements as inspiration for my card:
  • Flower theme
  • Color scheme (I just used more saturated hues to go with the tropical theme)
  • Layout applied to rectangular card

All elements were cut with my Silhouette cameo from free clipart images found on the web.
I copied it to the Studio, and traced it to obtain cut lines.

The name of the font is watermelon script . You are welcome to use my digi :

The photos as promised:

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Hugs
Hannelie

Awesome card, awesome pictures! I can definitely see how your recent holiday inspired you to create this beauty...cuz that place is something we see on travel commercials on the television! Love the stunning pink hibiscus and the cool parrot! Did you stay in one of the huts?

Congratulations on your Top Pick win at The Challenge. Loved the card so much when I first saw it, I think I gasped. Good thing I didn't have anything in my mouth or someone would have to apply the Heimlich Maneuver.
