The Paper Players #309 : Sweet & CAS

Hi there!

Time for Sandy's sweet & CAS challenge at The paper players

I went for something sweet... but healthy too :)

Two examples for you today, showing one with softer blended colors...

be like a pineapple card

be like a pineapple card

... and one with solid color blocks:

be like a pineapple card

be like a pineapple card

I wanted to incorporate the design elements captured in a pineapple without actually using a pineapple image.

I did that by welding a scalloped oval shape to a diagonal grid background in the Silhouette studio.

I added color to the background for the first card with distress inks by Hero Arts ( green hills, butter bar and a small amount of orange soda) and solid green and yellow card stock for the second card.

I created my own sentiment form a known quote found on Pinterest.

... and yes, you are welcome to download and use it  ☺

Adding my link to the following challenges:

AAA cards ~Blending (first card).

&

Uniko studio ~ Inspired by a song title.

I can think of 2 songs. One is Sweet Caroline by my all time favorite Neil Diamond & who can remember this one : Agadoo doo doo push pineapple shake the tree ! You can listen here !

Thanks for visiting me today!

Hope to see you play along this week :)

Hugs
Hannelie

Back with my Uniko hat on. And no I don't need to listen to Agadoo, it's already filling my head just from reading the title! Love the card in these bright opaque colours too. Thanks for playing along.

Wat een mooi ontwerp weer! En dan bedoel ik niet alleen je kaarten, maar ook je tekst! Mooie combo is dat groen en geel, maar de zachtere tonen zijn iets meer mijn smaak (kont ook vast door de inkt :) ). Fijne week!

WOW! Love how you have created the lattice and used the colours to represent a pineapple. The sentiment is awesome and so 'sweet' of you to share. LOVE your choice of songs too - awesome. Thanks so much for sharing and joining in on the Uniko Challenge. Hugs Bev x

Such a clever and 'fresh' idea! Nothing is sweeter than a nice, ripe pineapple AND your two delightful cards! Love the soft shading on your first card and the cool lattice background! Love how you ramped up the 'boldness' on your 2nd card with the bold colors!
