CASology : Stencil

Hi there!

Time for a new cue card at CASology !

Stencils are such a great tool to help you create a one layer card!

A closer look:

My card was made with 2 stencils that were cut with my Silhouette cameo. This is what they look like:

I used the positive of the boat to mask the BG (stencil on the left) and then I used the negative, or stencil of the boat to add color for the boat.

Distress inks used :

Faded jeans
Tumbled glass
Vintage photo
Antique linen

My sentiment is the Afrikaans version of : when you feel like drowning (or your boat is sinking), remember your Lifesaver walks on water.

( I will add it to the quote/scripture page as soon as I can in English and Afrikaans)

So glad you featured stencils today, Hannelie. I actually pulled out a stencil this afternoon and thought, "I should use this very soon to make a card." Your card today was further inspiration to actually DO it. I love your sailing scene and sweet sentiment.

Fabulous stencilling Hannelie. I especially like the shading on the sailboat sails - they look so 3D. A brilliant one layer card.

Mooi hoe jij alleen voor de tekst een stempel hebt gebruikt! En die tekst past zo mooi bij je mooi gesponsde boot en het blauw! Groetjes, Gerrina
