CAS(e) this sketch #170

Hi there!

I am so excited to show you the new sketch this week at CAS(e) this sketch... want to know why...?

It's a sketch based on a card I made some time ago. Here's the sketch :

... and you may want to take a look at my original card HERE  ;)

I used the same flower image, changed the colors, sentiment and played with 2 portions of the sketch using negative space, and just look at the total different effect!

And a close up , to show the smaller detail like the vellum layer below the outline Silhouette cut:

It would mean a lot to me if you play along this week, because I am so excited to see how you will use my sketch to fit your style!

I designed the black and white striped BG paper in the Silhouette studio. The flower and leaves are cutting files from Miss Kate Cuttables.

**Did you know that the generous Miss Kate offers a free cutting file EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE YEAR... how awesome is that? I have collected LOTS of them over the last couple of years ! **

The name of the font I used to cut the sentiment is called haikus-script.

I am linking my card to the Anything goes challenges at :

Seize the birthday

Thanks so much for looking!

Have a great day
Hannelie

My nuwe goed van PTI het vandag gekom, so ek mag dalk bietjie daarmee speel!!!!! Maar eers het ek bietjie naalwerk en hekelwerk wat ek wil klaarmaak oor die naweek so my nuwe goed sal 'n dag of twee moet wag!!!!
Goed gaan, vrou en geniet die naweek!!!

Perfect take on the sketch, Hannelie! And I can see we were both had "black and white stripes with a touch of red" on the brain!

GORGEOUS CONTRAST of colors! Love the bold, black stripes, love the pops of red and green and adore the smattering of dots!

I am going to try really, REALLY hard to find time to play along this week but we are in the middle of building a fence and I'm on 'painting detail' so my apologies if a card doesn't show up in the gallery!

I did go back and see your original card, Hannelie. It was gorgeous, but there's just something about black and white stripes that trip my trigger. The rose cut, with its vellum background is amazing. I'll have to look that up in the store. Love those bright green leaves too. This is just fantastic. If DH and migraines don't keep me down, I will definitely try to play along, too! Great card! Bev
