Seize the birthday: Toppings of vellum or acetate

Hi there!

We have a fun new challenge at Seize the birthday for the next 2 weeks. You can play with our topping of vellum or acetate, or share any newly created birthday card with us. The choice is yours!

                                             Seize the Birthday

I stamped the butterfly from Stamperia with Versafine onyx black ink and added vellum wings.

I did that by scanning the stamped image, tracing it in my Silhouette programme, and cutting it afterwards.

Sentiment and flowers from a Hero arts sentiment set.

Vellum is so fabulous to make a really simple project something special!

I hope you will play along at Seize the birthday this fortnight!

Thanks for visiting me today!

Black, white and yellow is another one of those classic color combos that always looks great. Love this card! Your vellum butterfly wings are perfect. So interesting to learn how you managed to cut them so perfectly. You are a Silhouette master!

I just love the beautiful pop of yellow vellum on this butterfly, it's so gorgeous. The contrast of the black and yellow is striking.
Vellum is a beautiful paper to work with, the effects are always soft and elegant.
Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
