Best wishes !

Hi there!

I hope today is the start of a wonderful week for each and everyone of you! Thanks for popping in to look at the card I have to share ;)

one layer best wishes card

I was the lucky winner of the Runway challenge a couple of weeks ago. The prize was $100 worth of digital images from FishScraps ! I now own a whole 'library' of the MOST fabulous images.

I used one of them on today's card. It's actually part of a group of succulent images, but I used it as a flower for this one layer card.

To create the effect of  'layers', I added a black frame to my card, and inked the edges with a pink pigment ink from Stamperia. I love the solid effect one are able to achieve using this type of ink. I used the same ink for the flower, just in much smaller doses. I also traced the flower and cut it out to be used as a mask later on (see below).

The sentiment is from miss kate cuttables. Instead of using the svg as a cutting file, I used the black fill option and used it as digital stamp.

I am sharing my card at the following challenges:

&

Time out challenges  ~ make your mark  (monochrome)

That's it for now!

You are a digital queen - my printer doesn't print so nicely. Love the soft sponging (mine would smear, I'm sure!) and how you've used the flower!

So I'm thinking you really need to grab a video camera and make some videos on how you do these fantastic Silhouette cards. Amazing!! And that pink is so pretty. Love this image too. Stunning card, my friend, stunning. Bev

This is a stunning card, and I really love the subtle coloring you did. I must admit to most of the computer part of the technique going over my head, however, I really enjoy just looking at and admiring this lovely card, knowing I would never be able to replicate it:) Thanks so much for playing along at Time Out.

Very nice card! I love that you used the pink so softly on the flower, but so boldly on the edging -- awesome.
