Less is more # 230

Hi there!

Don't you think its funny how sometimes when you see a card sketch it triggers a certain picture in your mind? It happened the moment I saw the sketch at Less is more  this week!
So my take on the sketch is a literal translation of what I saw... a door!

It reminded me of the stained glass door of our house in South-Africa. My Silhouette helped me to transform the idea to paper.

I added the colour with my Promarkers and gave it the stained glass look by adding glossy accents.

The sentiment is my own. I created one more to share with you.

Here is the sketch that inspired the card:

Thanks for visiting me today.

Have a great week!

Ag, man ek klink al soos 'n plaat wat vashaak as ek weer se 'briljant', ne!!!! Eenvoudig ongelooflik pragtig, vrou!!! Ek sien daai deur voor my geestesoog!!!
Baie groete, vrou en 'n lieflike week!!!

Your card is so classy! I understand why you imagined a door the minute you saw the sketch. It reminded me of a door, too, but I don't think I could have put that idea on paper as beautifully as you did.

Totally inspirational Hannelie.
I also saw a door but couldn't bring that to the card!
Love your classy door and clever take on the sketch
Thanks so much for sharing and taking part.

WOW! Stunning simplicity! The wee pops of color add the right amount of pop without stealing the thunder from the gloriously graphic 'stained window'. Thanks for another sweet sentiment :)

Congrats on being showcased at LIM, Hannelie. I thought I commented earlier on how lovely I think your card is but I'm so behind I can't remember what I've done. I envy you your Silhouette skills.
