We'll be friends...

Hi there!

What was I thinking when I bought this stamp ! Don't get me wrong... I LOVE it... BUT it is huge and requires a lot of coloring !

Coloring is not exactly my thing. You won't believe me if I tell you how many times I have stamped this image , and colored it (markers, pencils, name it), only to file it... in the bin!

With all the friend challenges going on at the moment, I could't help to take it out again, stamp it once more... (TAKE  A DEEP BREATH) ... and attempt the coloring with watercolors!

It is far from perfect, but I do think I can show it to you today...

The much talked about stamp is from ART IMPRESSIONS : party girls.

Because the image is so large, I kept the design simple, only adding the sentiment, stamped on vellum, and mounted on black card stock.

I am linking this to :

Well... that's it for now!

Enjoy the day!

Your patience persisted and this is such an adorable card Hannalie! I don't color at all so I can see why you'd be intimidated. Love the vellum sentiment.

Well I for one am glad you didn't chuck this in the bin Hannelie. It's great and you've still time to link up at Less is More too. I'm not great at colouring but you've done fantastic.
Thanks for sharing at Uniko

Oh, Hannelie - it is comforting to know that even someone with your immense talent struggles with their project from time to time. I just made an entire card that I decided was horrid, so I tossed it in the bin. And that's certainly not the first time that has happened. LOL I think your water coloring is wonderful!

Love your CAS design and there's so much happening with that stamp that I think the water coloring has a great feel to it!

Such a fun card, Hannelie! And you totally sound like me! lol I don't do much coloring either, so I can understand how many times you probably tried. ;) Your watercoloring looks great!

As much as I love those ladies, the thought of coloring them make me say "no thanks". You've done a terrific job, even if you had to "practice" first. ;-)

Oh, Hannelie, I hear you :) Love these Art Impression stamps, but I'm not much of a coloring cardmaker either, but you did a great job. Love the vellum stamped sentiment!

Well, it does look like a lot of coloring (or water coloring), but it was well worth the effort because this card is funny, sweet, and FUN! So glad you joined us at CASology this week!

Well I think you nailed it - especially with watercolors which I find to be the most unpredictable medium around :) I love this card!
