One layer... off the edge!

Hi there!

Just a quick hello with my card for the challenge at Less is more , where the challenge this week is to make a one layer card... with an element off the edge.

My card was made with a stencil cut with my Silhouette cameo.  After cutting the stencil, I sponged the butterfly with pink and yellow ink. Where the  2 colors overlap, it created a 3rd color... orange!

The off the edge effect was  created by 'welding' the butterfly shape and the card base.

Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Love the butterfly colours and stripes! And a fun ribbon card in the post below! That would be a good way to use more ribbon for me... Have a happy weekend, Gerrina

I'm so happy that you are my pal and so creatively clever cuz I never would have thought to create my own stencil with my Silhouette! When I read your post, I actually smacked my forehead and said (out loud to the cats) "now why didn't I think of that?"

Such pretty bright 'sunny' colors that will definitely make the recipient feel truly special!

I'm not sure how you weld to make it one layer, but I love the effect, Hannelie! This is the coolest grid butterfly ever!! Enjoy the weekend!! Hugs, Darnell

Brilliant! I doesn't look one layer at all - so much dimension!

Lieflik, soos altyd!!!!
Groete
