Gift set for a special friend.

Hi there!

Today I have a little more to share than a card...

There are so many ideas on Pinterest for creative home made gifts! I decided to make some bath salts for a special friend who celebrated her birthday a few weeks ago.

Off course there will be a matching card!

I discovered this butterfly stencil in a drawer, never used before! I inked it up with blue and green distress inks, added a computer generated sentiment (happy birthday in Afrikaans) and stamped 2 swirls just for some added interest.

The recipe includes coarse salt, Epsom salt & baking soda. I added a small amount of blue and green food coloring and a few drops of essential oil for fragrance. I packed the excess salt in a cellophane bag as a refill :)

I am linking my project to the Seize the birthday challenge

That's it!

Thanks so much for looking!

Hannelie this is an awesome gift idea and your card just amazing with the butterfly. Also love the tag on the bottle carrying the theme through.

Oh, I absolutely LOVE this idea! The soft blue-green is so pretty - a soothing, serene colour which evokes thoughts of a spa, or sea water! A beautiful butterfly card to go with a beautiful gift!

Oooo, ek's mal hieroor, vrou!! Jou geskenkstel is regtig pragtig!!
