Two birthday cards.

Hi there!

Here to share 2 cards I made on request for a friend. Her son is turning 21 and her daughter 18. She wanted a personalised card for each one.

For the masculine card my Silhouette came in handy with this simple design. I created it using the numbers 21 and a small key to finish it off. I added a textured background (embossing folder used) for the masculine feel.

Design inspiration for the second card was provided by the fact that the birthday girl loves everything fashion...This Penny Black stamp did the trick. I added a simple frame, 18, and a "congratulations" created using the print and cut function from the Silhouette. The image was colored with Promarkers.

Linking this up at the following challenges:

Seize the birthday ~numbers (Both cards)
Make it Monday ~ anything goes (Both cards)
Without words challenge  ~ spots and or stripes (2nd card)
Dream valley challenges ~ masculine cards (1st card)
Robyns fetish challenge ~ cardstock only... no patterned paper (1st card)
Crafty catz ~ pretty in pink (2nd card)

Thanks for looking!

Have a great day

Both very nice cards, Hannelie! My favourite is the girls card, because of the pretty soft pink paired with polkadots and black, love it!

These are fabulous, Hannelie ... love the checkerplate background on the 21st card ... so masculine! The 18th is delicious ... feminine and rather sophisticated! Hugs, Anita :)

Do you know how happy I was to see your post pop up in my mailbox....VERY, VERY HAPPY!

And wow...you picked up right where you left off with these two amazing cards! The "21" is the absolute PERFECT guy card! Love the silver and LOVE the bold number! I'm also quite sure that the little miss shopping diva is going to love this card too! Fabulous image. The bow on the purse - perfect touch!

Now, I'm off to find 'print & cut' in my user manual! I think I have tried it before, but have totally forgotten how to do it :)

O, ek kan net dink hoe in haar skik jou vriendin was met hierdie 2 kaartjies vir haar kinders, ...om nie eers van die kinders self te praat nie!!! Dit is altwee stunning kaartjies!! Die masculine een is so perfek vir 'n 21-jarige man - niks fyn en vroulik nie, net lekker manlik!! Hou van die cute sleuteltjie en die swart en wit!
Die 2de een is vir my so absoluut geskik vir 'n agtienjarige dogter. Jy't soveel oulike detail daarop gesit (die handsak vat die koek!!). Dis pragtig vroulik!
Puik!!
