Back... at last!

Hi there !

It feels good to sit here typing up this post... after 2 months of absence in the craft room and in blog land!
We moved into a new home, or villa as it's called here. I enjoyed the whole process of getting settled. Cleaned up. Purged. Ready for a new start!

I guess it's not too late to wish everyone reading here a very prosperous new year! Thanks also for waiting patiently for me to return. I really appreciate YOU!

I always find it so difficult to find a spark of creativity after a time of  'non creating' . Real life exercises more of the left brain... leaving the right creative side unfit. I really feel creatively unfit!
So I started with something different. No card today...

I decorated a jar to be used as a gratitude jar. The idea is to write notes of things you are thankful for throughout the year and open the jar on the last day of the year, to remind you of all the ways God blessed you through the year.

Thanks for looking!

Wishing you a great day and a year with lots to be thankful for!

Welcome back Hannelie! It's nice to take a break from blogging now and then. That's what I did too. I find that working on other kinds of craft projects is really refreshing. I'm creating art journal now and it's really been an inspiration to me to think outside of the CAS card box.

I think your gratitude jar is a wonderful idea and the decoration is so sweet! What a great way to remind ourselves of the many things we can be thankful for.

Hugs,
Jackie

Hey You!!!!!!!!! So glad you're back in your craft room, and as for your mojo...still here and going strong. This set is lovely, and that it's a "thankful" jar is just brilliant. Counting your blessings; something I might have to make for DH! Can't wait to see what's next on your agenda. So happy to 'see' you. Bev

Best wishes for you too, Hannelie and happy times in your new home! Nice to see you are back in the craftroom, although I recognize the feeling of being non creative after doing other things. Ik will come back to you, I'm sure. Your gratitude set is a beautiful combo!

Amazing Hannelie!!! So glad you are being "refreshed" and purging in the new year!

Creativity comes in all shapes, all ways. Slow and steady is lovely too -just like the blessing jar!!!

Happy and healthy New Year to you!

Happy New Year to you too Hannelie. I think this is an awesome idea. Sometimes we focus too much on 'what went wrong during the year', instead of 'what went right'. I am sure the RIGHT will far outweigh the wrong! Enjoy your new home. x
