Live your own fairytale

Hi there!

With the house all quiet after our daughter left last night to the Caribbean to start her second year internship , I had to keep my head and hands busy... an attempt to cure the longing!

I made a card for this week's casology challenge:

Also entering: divas by design challenge ~ winged things

When this card started off, I promise you the wings weren't planned! It just happened after everything was finished!
The "curves" were die cut with an oval die. The "V" was simply measured and cut with a craft knife. Then I just added eyelets and threaded a thin satin ribbon through it.

I can't wait to hear what you think, because I think it's a bit different... and I do hope different is good this time!

The sentiment is your's if you want to use it some time or another!

Thanks for visiting me today!

This is quite lovely Hannelie. I keep hearing Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac sing when I look at your card. She always had an ethereal beauty to me, much like a woodland fairy princess. Your card is definitely different in an extraordinarily good way! In fact, I'm just going with "totally rocks"!!! Bev

Wow! Reminds me of Ever After - Drew Barrymore had a beautiful costume with wings. So clever and clearly perfect for the cue card. Thanks so much for playing along with CASology this week, Hannelie - it's always amazing to see what you come up with!

Don't you wish you could keep them close by forever?

Your card is baautiful! I love the vibrant colors and the lacing - so clever!

I'm wondering if I might achieve a nice slim waist like this if I used an oval nestability to shear off a bit on each side? Only in a fairytale...

Thanks for the beautiful sentiment :)
